The crafting of useful and beautiful articles out of leather is an art and craft that has existed for thousands of years. It's continuation is dependendent upon the passing of skills from one crafter to another. The Leather Crafter's Corner is devoted to this process. Doc Hayes has been a leather carver and maker for over 40 years. He is dedicated to the passing and sharing of knowledge among crafters of all skill levels.

About Me

Doc Hayes: Doc Hayes is a Ph.D. biologist with 28 years college teaching experience including totally online courses. His leather crafting began at the age of 14 in a shop class in school. He has continued and broadened that experience, collecting references spanning over 90 years of leather craft publications that represent many of the true master's of the art.
